CANCELLED: schrit_tmacher Dance Festival

Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus situation, the Israeli Foreign and Health Ministries have announced that flights to and from Israel will be cancelled and entry and exit will be severely restricted. This also affects the "Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company", which is not allowed to leave Israel for security reasons and thus cannot perform its foreign appearances as planned.

Although this makes us very sad, it means that we are forced to cancel this event. We are very disappointed , but we really have no control over the situation.
We hope for your understanding.

In collaboration with the youRegion project, Expat Centre Maastricht Region is happy to invite you to a very special night out. Saturday 14 March we visit the cross-border dance festival: schrit_tmacher.

About Asylum by Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company (Israel)

In his work ‘Asylum’, Be’er examines concepts such as identity, foreignness, oppression, discrimination, domination, freedom, belonging, immigration, homeland, longing, and home. These concepts are relevant to every human being from an existential view, wherever he or she may happen to be situated in place and time. The quest for a place that is identified as a home is part of the human existential experience.

“An extraordinary composition of a seasoned artist and a master in composition.
The technical level of the company is exceptional!”
– Ruth Eshel

This event is organised in cooperation with the Interreg V-A project youRegion and aims to bring together newcomers from the Maastricht, Aachen and Hasselt area (Euregio Meuse-Rhine). Read more about the youRegion project.
