Bank account

Once registered in the Netherlands, the following documents are required to open a bank account:

• Proof of identity (passport, identity card or residence permit);
• Burgerservicenummer – BSN (citizen service number);
• Proof of address (signed rental contract, utilities bill)

Banks like ABN AMRO, ING and Rabobank have websites in English.
