Coronavirus

July / August 2021

The latest statement issued by the Rijksoverheid is: "Work at home again, unless there is no other option, and ensure sufficient fresh air in indoor spaces”.

Unfortunately, the infection rate is still high in the Netherlands. That is why, for the time being, we have been asked to return to working from home, unless it is unavoidable. During the debate in the Tweede Kamer, it was also agreed that ensuring sufficient fresh air in indoor areas will be added to the basic rules. Under certain circumstances, contamination can also occur via virus particles in the air. Fresh air helps to limit the transmission of the virus. It is therefore important that proper ventilation is implemented.

This advice on working from home and fresh air in indoor areas comes on top of the package of regulations in place in the Netherlands from Saturday 10 July.

From 9 July to 9 August 2021, the Kabinet is formally in recess. On Friday 13 August, during the first ministerraad after the recess, the entire set of regulations will be weighed up again on the basis of the current information. The next national press conference is expected to take place on Tuesday 17 August at 19:00 where changes (if any) to regulations will be announced.
