Give your feedback on living or working in Maastricht via the 'inwonerspanel'

We talked to Geneviève van Liere, researcher at the Afdeling Onderzoek en Statistiek (Department of Research and Statistics) at Gemeente Maastricht about what an inwonerspanel (residents’ panel) does and how can you contribute.
Who are they? The Maastricht Forum?
Maastricht Forum members are Maastricht residents who are invited several times a year to take part in a survey giving their feedback on current topics. The topics vary from recycling to parking. This allows our research team to quickly measure what the residents of Maastricht think about a particular topic. We therefore find it important that the panel is as varied as possible in terms of age and background.
Maastricht is a burgeoning international city where many internationals and students live. They may not have been here since birth and they may not stay here forever, but they are part of this city and their opinion is therefore valuable.
This also applies to people who do not live in Maastricht, but who are here regularly for work or study, for instance. I can imagine that they would also like to have their say on a subject like parking.

The invitation to take part in the Maastricht Forum is sent by email and is contains a questionnaire which is short and user-friendly. Participation in every topic is not compulsory; you choose for yourself which topics you want to give feedback on. The results of each survey are published afterwards on the Maastricht Forum website.
