Sittard-Geleen News in English
As an extra service to the expats and international community living and/or working in Sittard-Geleen and surroundings, the Buddy System Sittard-Geleen recently started a cooperation with the local online news provider Sittard-Geleen.nieuws.nl. A new section called News in English was added to their website at the end of February.
This section of Sittard-Geleen.nieuws.nl will feature relevant information and regional news items as well as announcements of events in the area. The news items are also shared in Facebook groups and on LinkedIn.
The Buddy System Sittard-Geleen is a community-driven project, launched and supported by Stadslabs Sittard Geleen to welcome newcomers to the region. Besides the above-mentioned initiative, the Buddy System links expats and internationals to local buddies and organizes several activities such as welcome drinks, a Dutch language café, walking tours and other expat events.
