Each month we give one of our Programme Partners the floor to introduce themselves and their services so you can ensure you and your employees are getting the most out of life in the Maastricht Region. This month we interviewed Denny Janssen, Managing Partner at Expat Mortgages South.

My name is Denny Janssen, I'm married, and a proud father of 2 sons. Following my studies in Business Economics at the University of Maastricht, I began my career as a Mortgage Adviser in 2006 at a bank here in the Maastricht Region.

Today, as an entrepreneur, I'm fortunate to lead a remarkable team dedicated to assisting internationals in their quest to own their own home in the Netherlands. Our mission is to turn what can often be a daunting process into an enjoyable one.

While I don't provide direct mortgage advice myself, I consider myself the least critical part of the equation. The true heart and soul of our service lies in the expertise and dedication of my colleagues, such as mortgage adviser Steff Driessen. He is a Limburg native, brings a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for assisting our international clients in the Maastricht Region. He is the go-to person for internationals seeking mortgage advice tailored to their unique needs. With Steff as their adviser, our clients can trust they're in capable hands when buying and financing their new home.

How has your organisation been involved in Expat Centre Maastricht Region events or projects?

Expat Mortgages South is the sister company of Expat Mortgages, a leading independent mortgage provider in the Netherlands since 2007. Over the years, we've helped thousands of expats secure financing for their new homes. With Expat Mortgages South, our focus is on assisting internationals in Brabant and Limburg with their mortgage needs. To inform internationals about the process of buying a home in the Netherlands, we regularly organise housing events together with local real estate agents and in cooperation with Expat Centre Maastricht Region.

How can your organisation add value to the lives of expats / internationals in the Maastricht Region?

By being there for our international clients when they need us the most; when they are about to make one of the biggest investments of their lives. At that crucial moment, they can rely on our expertise and advice to guide them every step of the way. Just as our slogan suggests: “We open new doors in life.”

What is the best thing about living in the Maastricht Region?

The picturesque ancient city with its distinctive architecture and landmarks, the rolling Limburg Heuvelland (hills), its traditions like Carnaval, the lively café culture, and, of course, the delicious Limburgse vlaai!
